Great service they made sure about seats that we liked. Although they looked busy, they made sure about water and drinks, and kept appropriate distance from us they respect our space, but at the same time they provided drinks at a great timing. The vibe was really nice moderate amount of lightening, and candle and jazz music created romantic atmospheres. And drinks were amazing. They really know what they are doing. All the ingredients of the drink was perfectly mixed and synergistically created a deep and enjoyable taste unlike other bars where they just mix stuff without thinking about the effect of mixing. I highly recommend this place for you to try.
One of the best cocktail bars I 've been to. I saw a video about this place and thought their technique in creating their cocktails was so unique. If you can see the bar from your seat, you can see the bartenders the distinct wrist movement when using the cocktail shaker. Last fall, my party dropped by after dinner. You have to go into the restaurant where the staff asked if we were here for the restaurant or Angel 's Share. Although it might be tempting to eat at the restaurant for convenience, it 's perfectly fine to go somewhere else and then come here (during the weekdays and wait in line (it moves faster than you expect! . It 's very dark inside; even seated by the window, my party was cracking out our phone flashlights to read the menu. All the drinks my party ended up getting were $18. The drinks my party got: Milestones: Suntory Toki, Hoji Royal milk tea, pandan, grapefruit, lemon Early Wake: Teeling Small Batch , Mr. Black, stout syrup, orange bitters, chestnut evaporated milk espuma, smoke salt Flirtibird: Barley shochu Mizu no Mai, shiso, yuzu juice, agave nectar, plum salt rim Harvest: Lavender infused Roku, Galliano, grapefruit, honey, lemon, yogurt New York New York: Apple cinnamon infused Buffalo Trace, spiced maple, Roots, lime, egg white, torched Purple Rain: Empress 1908, Italicus, almond orgeat, absinthe, lemon Enchantment: Mijenta, spiced mate tea, cacao, mint, vanilla ice cream, cacao powder, nutmeg ALL of these drinks were good; you really can 't go wrong. My only regret was not being able to try more. I 'll go over the ones that stood out to me here. I heard people rave about Milestones, so I HAD to get it. I love milk tea and was so shocked to see how clear this milk tea cocktail is. The alcohol taste was still quite strong to me so it was far from being the non alcoholic milk tea I usually drink but would recommend anyone trying this place for the first time to try it. I always love a good salt rim, and Flirtibird was able to deliver. The cinnamon in the New York New York really stood out and was quite comforting. Purple Rain definitely wins in terms of best color. However, Enchantment is the cocktail I would recommend the most; it 's a delicious dessert cocktail that was the perfect drink to end the night with. Whether you are a local or just visiting for bit, I would highly recommend that you stop by for some drinks.
A must visit speakeasy in NYC! Loved the ambiance of the place and they had possibly some of the best and most unique drinks I've had. Anyone you birng here will be impressed. Entry: Go upstairs into the Japanese restaurant, then make a left and enter the door. Be ready to stand around and wait and also be prepared to show proof of vaccination. We came here on a Friday night and got lucky as we only waited for 20 minutes for a seat. Ambiance: Intimate and quiet enough to have a conversation but still feels lively. Drinks $18 each): Peel Me a Grape Very strong modified martini, good if you like martinis. The salted grape in the glass was a nice touch. Flirtibird One of my favorites, was a nice fruity drink. The slightly sour plum sugar rim just sealed the deal. Watermelon Man Very refreshing, can't go wrong with watermelon. Cheek to Cheek Perfect as a sweet dessert. It tasted like strawberries and cream. They even give you a spoon to eat. Monk's Dream A bit too smokey for my taste. It was topped with dried berries with a bit of a kick. Overall, I am so glad I found this place, the drinks are a little pricey but they're definitely worth it!
Back to indoor seating as of fall 2021. Missed the outdoor seating where you can order Japanese bites like takoyaki and karaage from the adjacent restaurant. Parties of 4 maximum! On two separate occasions, hostess is quite direct cold which was a turnoff. That aside, cozy interior with bar and window side seating. The cocktails go for $18 and $19. Favorites are: Groovin' High: refreshing cucumber, gin based Milestone: whiskey with dominant pandan and hojicha milk tea notes. A fine substitute for dessert Smoke Gets In Your Eyes: Maker's Mark whiskey with all your senses satisfied from the smoke Papaya Friends: tequila based. Months ago it may have been thai chili instead of jalapeño (or in another discontinued drink). Anyhow, good if you're looking for a kick of heat
The cocktails were amazing, and it's such a shame that the place is no longer open. It was a bit tight and could get noisy at times, but the bartenders were always attentive and friendly.
