David's Cuban - City of New York

I believe that once they part ways with this manager and focus on delivering authentic Cuban food instead of relying on gimmicks, I would be more than happy to give it another shot. Until then, it seems like he’s really out of his depth in a place like this. They need to address these issues and get things sorted out.

I wish I could rate this place with zero stars. I ordered the carne asada, and it was completely flavorless. Who prepared this? Additionally, my tostones were missing. I do not recommend ordering from here, especially if you're of Latin descent—you'll be extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, I ended up throwing the food away because I just couldn't eat it.

The restaurant did not live up to my expectations of Cuban cuisine. The rice bowl was badly overcooked, resulting in mushy rice. The steak was tough and filled with tendons and ligaments. The tostones were actually quite good, especially with the garlic sauce, but everything else was below average.

Skimpy fish portions, and rude service. Overpriced for what is, but i was too lazy to walk to Spanish Harlem tonight
