Hidden gem located in Harlem. Came here Friday night with a reservation made with Seated. For drinks, I tried their Grapefruit Basil gin and tonic along with the Lavender Gimlet. They have a decent amount of cocktail selection and a nice variety of gin tonics. Paella was delicious. Great plus that they're on seated!
I did not like the paella. The rice felt hard and had no flavor. It did not have protein, just a few pieces of meat. The appetizer (croquettes) was OK. The Sangria is too little. Overall, it was not a good experience.
Hidden away on East 110th Street, this tiny restaurant produces some of the best Spanish food I've had in the US. The croquetas with Serrano ham were sublime. The gambas al ajillo were deliciously garlicky, and the mushrooms with foie gras were a wonderful mix of tastes and textures. The grilled octopus was good, though not my favorite. The desserts were outstanding; we shared the refreshing lychee sorbet perched on a square of white peach gelée, a wonderful combo of flavors, and the Basque cheesecake, which was light yet satisfying, very delicious with the traditional charred top. There is a small wine list of good Spanish wine, and a bar of mostly Spanish aperitifs. The service was attentive and cheerful, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend!
Exceptional service. Maria was amazing and professional and very attentive!
