Lao Bei is a fantastic place to grab a quick lunch or dinner! The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous. If you're a fan of dumplings, you'll find that theirs are quite different from the gyoza offered at other establishments; they have a thicker skin that gives them a heartier feel. The hand-pulled noodles have an excellent texture, and they plentifully adorn them with toppings. Every table is equipped with chili oil for you to add at your convenience, which enhances the flavor beautifully. They also offer packs of 50 frozen dumplings, and I always make sure to stock up when I'm there. Just a heads-up: the boiled dumplings do take a little while to arrive, likely because they are made fresh to order; it's not a complaint, just something to keep in mind if you're short on time.
One of the best Dumplings and Beef Noodle Soup I've ever had. Dumplings are like $5 for 8, and it's not of those small dumplings, it's huge and very meaty. The noodles were great, it is made in front of you. Soup was great. It was flavorful, not too salty nor too powerful. If I am around the area, I will definitely stop by again.
Tasty. Quick. To stay or to go. Fishballs with Noodles.
The dumplings here are fantastic and reasonably priced! This place is definitely a top choice for delicious dumplings.
