Merryland Buffet - City of New York

This place was just okay! I visited on 9/2/22, and the food was absolutely terrible! No way, I don't want to go back! The cleanliness was lacking, and it seemed like the cooks didn't care at all!

This spot was once the only buffet in the Bronx I knew of, and they even have another location near Lincoln Hospital, but the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The food has little flavor; they removed items like the garlic bread, which used to be a highlight. The chicken lacks sesame seeds, and the sauce is too watered down, resulting in soggy chicken rather than the crisp dish it should be. Overall, this place might have been a decent option for inexpensive food, but with the recent price hikes for what amounts to hospital-quality meals, it's no longer worth it. Just a heads up—enjoy at your own risk!

This is a fantastic old-school Chinese buffet with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The Chinese and American food is always served hot and cooked to perfection.
