I Just felt a little uncomfortable with the loud music with lots of profanities. there was people smoking there which was very uncomfortable as well for me as a non-smoker but other than that the food was a 10 out of 10, wellprepared, well cooked ?? so I kept coming back for more food. wait another thing their lanbi griye (boukannen) taste just likeit would it taste in Haiti
I used to be a regular but as of late have chosen not to come. I don?t want to say anything bad about small businesses but every time coming there it feels like eyes are on you. If you?re Caribbean you understand what I mean. Every time you pass into thespot a whole group of Haitian men are watching you. As a customer that is the most uncomfortable feeling. When this place firstopened it used to be very good and comforting. The steamed fish and the legume were my favorites on top of the fried fish. Nowit feels like this place went down hill. Especially the vibe of the place it?s creepy. I?ve never seen a restaurant where peoplesit and watch but don?t eat. It?s strange and very telling. This type of nasty and auspicious energy is what scares customersaway.
I think they have a new owner. It seems as if they recently reopened again. There is a new Rn and the service is 100% way better the food was Bussin!!!!
Is this place ever open? Every time I check online it says they are open yet when I call or pass by they are always closed. They should update their hours online so it reflects store hours. I’ve even wasted time walking over there because online it said they were open but they were not. I’ve never been able to try their food.
Great food, but absolutely terrible customer service. You need to have someone taking orders who can speak English, and that's coming from one Haitian descent to the next. Every time i come in here they get mad you don't speak Creole and get mad when you ask them for basic things like extra sauce or pikliz. For what reason? Prices are already high so let me get a little extra for my patronage. Then they move so slow. It's a serious problem at Caribbean restaurants in general not just Haitian for bad customer service and the food tastes amazing, but Haitian restaurants need to step it up more or else they won't get more of the awareness they need to continue to succeed. This behavior wouldn't fly in Manhattan so why bring it to your own? Tuh
