Great food, I was surprised actually! Homemade pastries, soup and dressings. It was a nice brunch menu with GF options (not certified). The owner was very nice and chatted with us. The decor was cold and very mainstream, I was hoping for a cottage chic atmosphere but it was just pink walls and pink tables/chairs. And some background music would be a nice touch. Being a tea house I was hoping for a tea menu with a unique selection. All we were offered was Twinnings, which I drink everyday at home.
I've visited The Mad Hatter on numerous occasions, and each time I leave feeling satisfied and with a bag of baked treats for later. Their breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, and frittatas are fantastic, and you can't go wrong with their French toast. Lunch is just as delightful; my current favorite is the Pesto Chicken Sandwich. The bakery at the entrance always tempts me into making a purchase, and most recently, I couldn't resist the pumpkin bars.
I discovered this restaurant near the corner of the park, and I'm so glad my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try while we were out shopping. The menu had a great variety, but I like to test every restaurant with the same dish: a burger and fries. I can confidently say their burger was excellent—one of the best Kobe burgers I've tasted, and the "crazy hatmaker" burger was equally impressive. The fries were also fantastic; they had a unique, spiral-cut shape that I can't quite describe, but they were delicious. My friend ordered a salad and loved it so much she couldn't stop raving about it. We also took some cookies and gluten-free cupcakes to go, which were incredible. I’m glad I don’t live nearby, or I’d probably indulge too much! The service was great, and the atmosphere was lovely. I’ll definitely be back!
User reviews: The Russian sandwich here is fantastic. The meat is so tender that it could be enjoyed on its own. Pair it with a Guinness beer, and you’ve got the perfect lunch.
