My husband and I stopped into The Kettle restaurant, as we were passing through. This is an old historic looking place, that probably was nice in the 1930 's. However, neglect has made it look dingy, dirty, and depressing. The restaurant was freezing and matched the temperature outside. If it wasn 't for the fact that we were hungry and on a time restraint, we wouldn 't have stayed. The waitress read off the dessert options and we chose the homemade chocolate pudding THIS was NOT homemade it was INSTANT. The texture was watery and was semi-close to being chocolate in color. One bite of this instant pudding was more than enough for a lifetimeThe taste was horrendous, disgusting, and tasted of mint or cinnamon but not chocolate.I overheard the waitress telling the cook older bald guy my remarks and he became irate. As we stood to pay, he was red-faced and glaring at me from the side of the register. OH, it didn 't end there! He snarled and said that is HOMEMADE chocolate pudding!!! I replied it was instant... ! He ran to the kitchen and came back out to finish his glare as we walked out.We should of driven to another establishment. If you choose to eat here, be prepared for uncertainty.Uncertain of the food you get and Uncertain if the bald guy is mentally stable.
Far too overpriced for what it is. Food was ok, but not for what it is and the ambiance. We’ll continue going to the Route 50 Diner in B-Spa. Great food and typical diner prices.
We have had several awesome breakfasts here. The food and service is great. The quality and variety on their menu shows people who care about their place. The hash and French toast in particular are amazing.
Food was pretty good for the price. Waitress was very friendly
