Staff was ok, but got my drink order wrong when I asked for the correct one, it never came. I don’t believe anyone at our table was rude or maybe it was a busy night for them, even though they could be seen standing at times. My Shrimp Pescatore was all wine very bitter, you could taste the wine I was neglected earlier. Thankfully, we had good conversation because we got our food almost 2 hours later. I was disappointed when leaving but at least some of my family enjoyed their meals. May try it again at another time, but not likely.
They advertise Thursdays as date night, but now they only have it once per month. No notice anywhere on their website that this had changed. Also the manager is not engaging when this matter was brought to his attention; only said sorry . Very poor customer service skills and a who cares attitude. Won 't be going back there anytime soon especially since there are so many other great Italian restaurants in Schenectady.
I have eaten here before and it was very good. This visit the food was terrible! I was so disappointed.
As a lifelong resident of Schenectady and being of Italian heritage, the dishes here are consistently executed with skill. Unfortunately (for me) I have celiac and cannot partake in many of the Italian staples I grew up on. Cornell’s has gone above and beyond to amend the dishes they can to ensure they are gluten free and to boot they offer the best GF bread I have ever had. Highly recommend.
Love Cornell’s!! The bartenders and our server were top notch! My group and I had a fabulous time as usual and the food was exceptional! One our go to places and will continue to be!
