Swish 'n ' Chips - City Of Stirling

Great fish and chips, really cool location and store and its a winner 10/10...

My belief is if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all, let your wallet talk. So I have no idea how I let urban spoon influence my decision not to go to Swish n Chips previously. With a seafood loving wife and fussy 18 month old twin boys and I don't like fishy fish we are a hard unit to please. I would describe my dinner tonight as good honest suburban fish and chips. The food was fresh, cooked perfectly and the service was excellent, maybe I am missing something but I doubt it. Will be back!

I love fish and chip places where you can see the fresh seafood there in the shop. I think it adds to the atmosphere hahaha. My favourite thing to order when getting fish and chips is a fisherman’s basket so that I can also have squid rings, prawns and crab stick. Fish was cooked well and the batter wasn’t too thick – nice and crispy. Chips were a little underdone. Overall it was a decent experience but not my favourite place for fish and chips.

We have not had the opportunity recently however, returned for a take away on the weekend just gone. Specifically ordered our selection of fish (Pink Snapper) with minimum chips.<br/ <br/ Proceeded to nearby river park and enjoyed a beautifully cooked piece of fleshy fish exactly as ordered. The boys have been consistent since they opened and, the move down the back of the arcade does not seem to have affected their service or standard. <br/ <br/ We refuse to feed seagulls but had more than enough chips to do so!<br/ <br/ Nice to see they have prepared salads and add-ons available although we did not avail on this occasion. Fish is expensive now (everywhere) but, cheaper than trying to catch my own...

We have had love and luke warm relationship with Swish and Chips over the past 5 years, but tonight was definitely love. Chilli mussels were superb, plump, large and rich sauce. Kids pack generous,  juicy snapper and chips perfectly cooked and a grilled red emperor that was outstanding. After a disappointing meal a few months back we were reluctant to try again but are super glad we did. Really happy with a perfect fish and chip Sunday night feast. Great!
