Stew Leonard's Of Yonkers

My favorite grocery store ever. Originally being from CT, I was disappointed with the grocery stores when I moved to Brooklyn. Stew's was my go-to in CT and since I discovered there's a location in Yonkers, I looked forward to grocery shopping on the weekends. Great selection, fresh produce, meat, and bakery items. And make sure you use the app to get points for free ice cream after your visit!

The Poor Burger Barn. Slowly but surely they've been removing items for the menu for years now it's basically a hamburger, hot dog and a bottle of soda. It's a great place to take the kids. I'm sure we'll be gone next year for good

My family and I were profiled at the self checkout counter. As we scanned each item, the store associate aggresively chimed in when there was a problem with the scanner. Before I could explain to her what happened, she automatically stated, you didn 't scan the item, as she proceeded to count the items that were already placed in my bag. What she didn 't realize was that i didnt have a chance to scan the item before she intruded and offered her unsolicited opinion of what occurred. She did this at least 2 more times throughout my transaction. She never apologized when she was wrong and clearly had determined that we were thieves. I 'll spend my hard earned money in stores where my business is appreciated.

I love Stew Leanards however..I purchased meat and it expired in 5 days. I tried to return it with Receipt and was told they don't do returns on expired meat. Was surprised and disappointed. They should put return policy on back of Receipt like most stores do. For $15.00 they may have lost a loyal customer.

Stewies is such an easy place to shop. The people are friendly and there's always parking!
