Great place to eat right on the river bank. 4 of us at two dinners and two breakfast here. Everything we had was really good. Service was good. It was a nice open air restaurant and patio. Most all the staff spoke English. Was told they don't take cc by a friend then saw one the last time we ate there. Prices where a little higher then I was expecting for a small town restaurant that mostly serves typical food but it wasn't terrible.
I was here for breakfast before our tour took off. Tasty coffee and solid Costa Rican Breakfast. Not a lot of english, but it's not the native language.
Tasty food! Pleasant service. We went on a 3hr mangrove tour and stayed to have lunch afterwards. I had a veggie omelet with cheese and my guy had the grilled fish sandwich. Mine was good, he loved his. We both had fresh juice too. Pineapple and Strawberry/Mango. Both perfectly refreshing, pineapple was exceptional. Free Surprise Flan at meals end. It was fantastic! Toasted coconut flavor. Yum!
I ordered a green salad and seafood soup (a common seafood chowder in white sauce). There weren’t any whole pieces of fish in the soup, which is what I’m used to. I think local, fried dishes are more popular and enjoyable here. Mine certainly was not. The restaurant overlooks a dock where there’s crocodiles. Tourists and locals sit at this spot while they wait on a ferry to Drake Bay. At least there’s somewhere to eat and drink in this very desolate area.
