Y Cafeteria Del Prado

The service was good and I should have listened to the server about the t bone steak is “hard”. I’m partly at fault because I insisted. Yes, it’s chewy enough that makes my jaw tired. The bigger issue I had was that the steak tasted bad. It’s like the animal smell that you get when you are close to them. Like a fish can be fishy(in a bad way, not umami) but I don’t know the word for beef. I had that experience with chicken, pork, lamb in other places but this is the first time that I experience unpleasant smell/taste in beef.

Love the Del Prado. I used to stop here while in town many years ago. I was back this last week and thought I would go have breakfast and coffee. I was happy to see the food and service were still great. I sat out on the side and had coffee while watching the traffic and people. Great time.

Excellent place to grab a meal. Large outdoor covered area and indoors as well. Prices are pretty good. Food is great. Lots of street life to see pass by. Busy place with generous servings.

This place is amazing!!! My husband and I have been eating here for over 7 years. Each time we visit Panama, which is very often (10x per year) they know us by name and remember our usual order. The staff is so nice and attentive. This place truly a place we go for comport food and the best local ambiance. We recommend this place %1000. A huge plus is that it’s open 24 hours.

The food and atmosphere were excellent as expected. However, the waitress was unfriendly and short with my tourist guest. There was no smile detected out the lady's lips. I tipped less than the lowest suggested.
