There are toys, a carousel and a train for the children to play on whilst we enjoyed a wine tasting. Then we sat down to a lovely meal, where they catered well for the children as well as us! The wine was extremely reasonably priced and delicious. The food was good also, but it was the wine that shine.
I'll be straight up honest here - my favorite part about Comme Chez Soi is that, being a buffet, it's a lot more time efficient than dining out elsewhere in
I really wanted to like this place, I love vineyard restaurants and I hoped this would provide a good setting and choice of food and wine.Firstly they deserve massive praise for their wine service, the prices are the same as if you bought the wine from their Cave. We were uncertain which of 2 wines to try and the waitress offered to provide us with a bottle of each and let us choose. The restaurant has tables outside and inside the restaurant, unfortunately on our visit the outside tables were not in use. The interior is simply hideous, plain white with purple up-lighting. What a shame they didn't employ someone with a modicum of taste to design the restaurant. The wipe-clean tablecloths annoyed me the entire evening. The food was Ok but not exceptional, my rack of lamb was clearly pre-cooked and a bit tasteless. The menu wasn't expensive but lacked imagination and was much the same as most other restaurants in the area. The serving staff were very pleasant and I was disappointed that I didn't like it more. Some simple changes to the restaurant décor and an improvement in the cuisine could make this a really nice place.
