Feedback gevenAbsolutely terrible! First glass of wine was bad. Like rancid bad. I know when serving by the glass, it is hard because different bartenders work and don’t know how long bottles been opened so I get that aspect. The food was terrible though. Don’t get grouper entree. Bland and no sauce on orzo. And grouper was below average. The Shrimp Messina was nothing but olive oil on pasta with shrimp and mushrooms. While out with my husband on a date night, we came across this place due to the stars! We are not from here so we were going by what was good food in the area. When we went in it was if they didn’t want to greet us at the door to sit us down at a table.(no one was in front of us), then when she did sit us it was 10—15 mins past an we still didn’t even get our drink order in! Reservations through Open Table were easy. Parking was easy. We were warmly greeting. The crabmeat appetizer was delicious. Both salads (Caesar and Spinach) were excellent. Both entrees were delicious. Cheesecake could have been from Manhattan. Service with efficient and personable. We saw one or two table/booths for large groups. An Italian “go to” spot in LexSC.
Our food came out about 5 min after we ordered it. I ordered the Sinatra chicken and it was as dry as the sand in the Sahara desert. Pretty sure the chicken had been sitting under a heat lamp since lunch. My pasta had zero sauce on it, it tasted like dry noodles out of the box. I ended up dumping our spinach artichoke dip appetizer on it so it could have some kind of flavor. On top of that I had to season my own meal with salt and pepper because it seems the cook forgot to. 1st time dining at the restaurant and my husband and I had the flounder and broccolini and salmon mia nonna. Ugh! it was sooooo yummy and long after we had gone we were talking about the food. Thank you Brook for being a fantastical host. We enjoyed you and had a great time. Thank you for your knowledge and taking our food back to get the pork removed from the smoked gouda mac and the broccolini. That is why we truly were appreciative for the exceptional service.
