We are regulars at Grille Marx and find the food, service and atmosphere to be consistently of high quality. We are always pleased with our experience, and highly recommend it as a solid place to dine. You can't go wrong.
Four of us got together for special dinner we were seated promptly and out service was great. Grilled Artichoke appetizer was very good. Ordered Kona steak medium came rare asked for it to be cooked more still rare. Asparagus was thick and tough. We don't mind paying $30 for a great steak but this one was just ok. Atmosphere nice definitely family oriented.
Gin Tonic comes without lime. Bread for crab dip not warm, asked for chips instead, they bring out stale Tostitos. Less than 5 minutes after getting drinks and appetizer, prime rib dinner appears. No horse radish with prime rib. I know prime rib just needs to be sliced, but how about letting us enjoy our appetizer and drinks. Probably would have ordered 2 more drinks if we were allowed the time. In and out of there in 30 minutes (took appetizer to go) on a Saturday night. For the price I expected much better, really much, much better.
Had a great dinner here a few months ago. My husband loves brunch buffets so I thought we would try it with friends. it was empty and pretty quiet except for screaming kids right next to us. Not sure why restaurants put families with kids right next to people dining without kids when the place is empty. Anyway, I had an omelet and it was just ok. wished they cooked with butter instead of oil. My husband said the selection in the buffet was ok,not great. He did not return for seconds so the waiter said the price would be less than the full buffet price. But it wasn't. We'll be back but not for brunch.
