Exit 40 Cafe - Clarkston

It is not often that you go to a facility and feel immediately as if you had gone back in time. The smells of home cooked food immediately turned me back into my grandmother's kitchen. Old school music that plays over the countercome and soul foods like greens, black eye bears, liver and onions scattered in severity and neck bones gave me exactly what I believed! I was greeted with a very pleasant smile and that the joy continued through the full experience. The food was served hot, fresh and delicious! If you ever stop in the mood for a large plate of comfort food on the Exit 40 Cafe!!

I'm here a dozen or so often. The food was very good every time. Very solid. I even came to love liver and onions I never thought. Very friendly staff and very generous portions.

The best soul food place on the east side. I had the liver and onions with collar and Yams everything was delicious. The owner was very friendly and funny. The atmosphere is very pleasant and clean with a great aroma of homemade foods.

This is the best place I've been through for a long time. Very consistent delicious food with great service and free parking!

Very good soul food.. my favorite baked spaghetti when they have it very clean and nice service as well!!
