Monteiths Bistro - Clarkston

I had an excellent dining experience, especially with the à la carte dishes being offered at 50% off (available in January and February). It was definitely a win. The standout dish was the firecracker cauliflower, which was a hit and can be ordered as either a starter or a main course. The service was attentive and well-managed. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were respectful yet professional. The service was exceptional, and the quality of the food and cocktails was outstanding. I will definitely return, 100%, and I plan to bring friends along to share this wonderful experience. The staff even wished us well on our anniversary dinner, which was a thoughtful personal touch, especially since they mentioned a note we left during our reservation.

The evening meal was a great value, with a nice selection of appetizers, mains, and desserts. The restaurant was quite busy, and the waitstaff were good at their jobs. However, I would suggest they work on getting drinks out a bit faster while diners decide on their meals; the wait wasn't too long, but it could improve. The large screens showing sports felt unnecessary and detracted from the dining experience; the last thing you want to see while out is more screens. Spending an hour or so at the bar below after the meal was enjoyable, but the music was a bit too loud—turning it down would enhance the atmosphere. Overall, the drink prices were reasonable.

Great service and good food in this delicious local kitchen. the menus are above the pub-grub, but not so much that they are unfamiliar, with favorites like steak-pie and fisch’n’chips sharing the menu with Thai-Rind and Highland-Venison. they also make some inventive cocktails if they want to mix it. fast update mai 22. on Friday evening there was a live singer on the back of the bar, who slipped out some well-known melodies. he was pretty good, but rather a weed at such a tight space, certainly too loud for any convenient conversation, as shown from the back of the bar that empty up to 1030.

Decent wee bar bistro, food was of a high standard. Good selection of cocktails and beers. Dinner for four with wine and drinks was about £100.
