La Plaza Mexican #3 - Clarksville

Great food and friendly service. Live music was mediocre and too loud.

The carnitas are outstanding. They take me back to the ones I enjoyed in El Paso.

My family and I had dinner last night, my son started gagging and had to pull a hair out of his throat. When the manager came over he said “it’s none of my people” then tried to say it was our fault and it was from us, I had to argue with him and ask how in the world is it our fault and told him it wasn’t from us. He then proceeded to point at every customer around us and said “then it’s someone else out here” refused to offer a refund and continued arguing with us in front of everyone! Absolutely uncalled for! This is the second time the same manager has treated us horribly.

This restaurant isn't a top choice unless it's just convenient at the moment. The servers seem impatient when taking orders and are slow to check on you afterward. If you don't order a dish exactly as it's listed on the menu, they appear visibly annoyed. It's common to request modifications at restaurants, and it's unprofessional for the staff to react negatively. Overall, the lack of attentiveness from the servers detracts significantly from the experience, making it not worth the visit.

We have been looking for a Mexican Restaurant that checked all our boxes! La Plaza did just this. Food is delicious every time. Service is exceptional every time. Atmosphere is always welcoming! After trying a minimum of 8 Mexican Restaurants in the area, we have finally found ours!?
