Feedback gevenI went through the drive-thru for two shakes and ended up waiting fifteen minutes. When they finally handed us a bag of food, we pointed out that it wasn’t ours. After another five minutes, we finally received our shakes, but they were only filled about two-thirds of the way. To make matters worse, they gave the bag of food to the car behind us. I'm pretty sure that's not sanitary.
The food was generally enjoyable, except for the pickles, which had a strange taste—perhaps it's just me, but they might need to be checked for proper storage. I noticed two different employees touching their faces while wearing gloves and then handling food without changing their gloves, which raised some cleanliness concerns for me. Thankfully, I didn't get sick, and apart from the pickles, everything else tasted good! The service was quick. I do wonder if all staff are food safety certified and following safe food handling practices; it would be unfortunate if anyone got sick.
Steak and Shake has certainly transformed. There are no longer any servers; instead, you pay for your food at a kiosk and receive a number. They call you to pick up your food and shakes separately. The tables were dirty, and there didn’t seem to be anyone available to clean them. Customers are expected to dispose of their own trays, baskets, and glasses in the trash area. The food was decent, but the hamburger was a bit too crispy around the edges. The bathroom was in poor condition, and the baby seats (both high chair and booster) were sticky. Overall, it was not the experience I was accustomed to.
Great place for the family or in general food always on point
I would just like to state that the food was exceptional; however, customer service seems to be an after thought at this location. I ordered 3 burgers. One burger had regular buns and the other two burgers had the Baker 's Bun . When we arrivedhome, none of the bugers had the Baker 's Bun , they all had regular buns. I immediately called to resolve the issue. Andre themanager, this is directed to you Ma 'am. Let say that I am an extremely understandable person. I understand people make mistakes,because we are human; therfore, I wasn 't upset over this minute error. When a customer informs you of a mistake, please have theintestinal fortitude to fathom that you possibly could have made a mistake. Instead, you decided to insult my intelligence as ifI wasn 't able to differentiate between what I ordered, versus what I received. You also implied I was fabricating the entiresituation by saying (to paraphrase) Well, I was on grill and I know I made sure what you got was right because I know you paidfor it so I made sure. You displayed disdainful mannerisms and it was utterly revolting. Please do better in the near future.
