Tipper's 2 - Clarksville

We aren't locals, and a friend brought us to this bar, which was our first stop in the area. At first, it seemed fine, but then I witnessed three fights and saw two people being ejected. By the time I got home, I reeked of smoke, which was really unpleasant. I doubt I'll return here.

The food is decent, but the atmosphere is fantastic, especially on weekends! The owner and staff are very friendly, and the service is generally good. I can't give it a full 5 stars simply because, during my visit, it was a cash-only bar. This was quite inconvenient, and for those who prefer not to carry a lot of cash, the constant ATM fees can feel like a money grab.

Just a great dive bar where many people know each other. Though we were new, people invited us to their table to hang out, which was nice as we were hoping for some social interaction with other adults. (The crowd did mostly seem to be middle-aged. We knew we would be eating bar food, so we had low expectations on that. However, we ended up very surprised. The locals recommended the ruebens, wings, and burgers. Though everyone was raving about the ruebens as a signature specialty there, I determined I would try it another time and opted for the winds with a sweet-spicy sauce. They were fantastic, even though they weren't the deep fried kind my husband enjoys. He got a cheeseburger and loved it, too. He especially enjoyed how you could customize it. The regulars raves about how good the cooks are, and I was happy with the size and price of the larger drafts. We were prepared that ordering and service might take a while because of the low number of staff, so that was no surprise. They were all nice, too, especially since we were patient and friendly, as well. Also, know if you go that they do allow smoking inside as part of the bar seen.

Don't claim to be open til 3 if you don't let people in past 2. I'd been here two times before, had a decent time, enough that I decided to come here with friends at 2:08. It's an okay place, but maybe you should mention on your website that you close at 2 if you don't let new customers arrive? We would have gone elsewhere had we known, just saying

Burger was a bit salty for my taste but still able to eat it. They don't ask you how you want it cooked. Fries were cooked from frozen fries so they were a bit greasy. Be warned that this is a cash only bar. I didn't see any sign. There were other things on the menu so I may give it another shot. Staff seemed friendly.
