The Sawmill Station - Clayton

Spent 2 nights there recently and was very happy with the accommodation, service and food. Ross Natasha are very personal and welcoming. Cabin was exactly what we are looking for and is set in a beautiful location. Dead quiet at night, except for the strange sound of nature. The food is also great!!! We would sit on the station veranda and enjoy food / cocktail after a day activities. Very relaxing. Enjoy our stay so much we see back in autumn.

We were here in a cabin on 22-24. July 2020. Tasha and Ross and all their staff were very friendly and hospitable. Everything in the bistro was delicious and we enjoyed hanging out on the terrace and chatting with all the other guests. The cabin was nice and clean and has a fridge, a coffee machine and a microwave as well as a smart TV. The location was excellent, close to everything with fantastic views. I was very sad to go and plan to return. Thank you for the excellent hospitality!

Just say one.... WOW! The Sawmill Station has definitely set the bar for our future family holidays! We flew in Spokane WA from St. Louis MO and we worked our way down to the Sawtooth mountains to Jackson and the Tetons, then to Yellowstone and Glacier. We called a few places that offer UTV Rentals in Stanley ID (Sawtooth Mnts) area and Ross and Natasha the owners of the Sawmill Station were hands down the most helpful and assured us that we have a great time. You've always delivered! We had an explosion! The Sawmill Station offers RV hookups, cabins, restaurant (food is excellent), ice cream, coffee, general store, cheapest gas around and Best of All... UTV Rentals! We rented (5) New Polaris UTV 's and spent nine hours on the trails of ourselves! Ross explained to me that the UTVs are provided directly by Polaris and every year they replace all machines with new ones! So you know that you always get a low-hour machine without mechanical problems. As I mentioned, we spent nine full hours to explore the mountain paths, through all different terrains and explored old mines and so much more! Can't say enough about the Sawmill Station, we'll share this place with all our friends and family. You will also when you come to Stanley, ID and spend some time here! I should really delete this and keep this place as a hidden gem!!

Don't tell anyone about this place that it's too beautiful now. So many places to go and see, bring your own UTV or rent here. You go to the Ah and want more.

Ross and his family are the best. Highly impressed with the Sawmill Station’s new ownership. Ross and Natasha and Sid are head and shoulders the best hosts in the area for whatever outdoor activity you are seeking- horses, hiking, MTB, motorcycle, ATV, UTV, Jeep, etc. When planning routes for the day you might think you have a good plan, but then you ask Ross and he will likely say, “Well that’s pretty good plan- but if you want an even BETTER route you might try......” And this usually makes your day even better! Add to that the best breakfast burritos (home made salsa! the best burgers in the valley (the Ross Burger! and did I mention milkshakes? Yep those are to die for. Great people that help you make great experiences. Highly recommended.
