The Anchor Inn - Clear Lake

We had a party of four tonight. Had a place in the new backroom that was rebuilt. Tonight was fish night, so we all had the fish. We had 4 pieces of cod, very easy to bake. Included was a potato of choice and really good Koleslaw. The fish was all you could eat, but the 4 pieces were big! Excellent taste! I'll go back, we were all impressed.

They had good local beers on Hahn. I ordered the Iowa Pork Chop with one side of the grilled Asperagus. The pork chop was delicate and tasty, crushed under a homemade mushroom engraving. The Asperagus was well seasoned and cooked for perfection. The house salad was better than many I had, but not phenomenal. The service, on the other hand was amazing and the local males were very warm and friendly for me. In the end, I had a wonderful experience at the Anchor Inn in Clear Lake, IA.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Small menu, but good selection. Our party had Charcuterie appetizer as well as the Sauerteigbrot....

Admittedly, it has been two years ago, so changes must occur. Ate a bit last night. Order the poor man Lobster with the side salad,...

The waiter gave the children books and many Crayons and Markers. The soup of the day chicken and wild rice was delicious.
