Bj's Brewhouse - Clearwater

It was quite busy on a Friday night! The food is consistently good, and they have a great happy hour. You can catch games on their big TV, though there’s no sound. During our last visit, the bartender had a bit of trouble getting to us, which took nearly ten minutes, but we enjoy the food and the value, so we’ll definitely return.

I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience this time. My partner and I had lunch at this restaurant, and the service left much to be desired. After we placed our order, the waitress only returned halfway through our meal to ask if we wanted dessert or needed a box for leftovers. My partner had paused for a moment to take a break from eating, but the waitress seemed to interpret that as her being finished, and she took away her food without checking. Really? When the bill arrived, I had finished my meal, yet the waitress did not take my plate away. It's puzzling how she could remove one person's food without confirming if they were done, yet leave the other person's plate untouched when they had finished.

My wife and I were making a visit to Westfield Countryside Mall and decided to drop by BJs. New to us but our daughter has been suggesting we visit because she really enjoyed it. We called on the way to put our names in but we're told there was no wait. Arrived 5 minutes later and there was a wait, so I put our names in. After about 15 minutes wait and seeing several people come in and be seated, I went to the desk to inquire. He apologized and said he thought we signed in for a pickup. Hmm, different desk. We were seated and brought menus and drinks. I was in the mood for pasta so I ordered the Spaghetti and meatballs. My wife preferred the Chicken Parmesan. After a bit our food came. The plate of spaghetti was huge! And it was delicious. My wife also quite enjoyed her Chicken Parmesan and it was a large portion. I also loved the garlic knots that came with my spaghetti. Service was great after we were seated and food was excellent. Worth checking out again. Greeter does needs a bit of work though.

Had a great experience. Love their menu. Lots of healthy, appealing choices. Excellent server Skye H. Friendly, helpful, knows the menu well. Passed by the table an appropriate number of times to ask how everything is going. Loved the cauliflower quinoa power bowl. So many ingredients, including black beans, corn, avocado and smaller amounts of feta, cilantro, yogurt, cucumber, tomato. Spicy but not too spicy for me. Didn't eat the pickled onions. Even the unsweetened iced tea was perfect. This will be my go-to restaurant every time I visit the Countryside Mall to shop.

We arrived at 6:05 PM, and it wasn't until 6:15 PM that the waiter acknowledged us. It took a while to order our drinks and appetizers, and each time our food and drinks arrived, it took about 30 minutes. She apologized for the delays, yet didn’t appear particularly busy. While our drinks were delicious, the salmon dish was disappointingly bland and lacked seasoning. I ordered the BJ's Chicken Sandwich, which was juicy and flavorful. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant and spacious, but unfortunately, the service was quite poor. As soon as we received our food, Danielle immediately brought out the take-out boxes, then vanished and took her time checking on us. At times, she even gave me dirty looks and seemed to ignore us. Overall, it was hands down the worst service I've experienced. On the bright side, I appreciated being able to spend time with friends.
