Country Skillet - Clearwater

This restaurant is known as the go-to spot for breakfast in the Tampa Bay Area. It offers a traditional experience with creative dishes, classic decor, and a delicious cup of black coffee. As someone from Europe, it reminds me of the diners seen in old movies like Pulp Fiction that I've always wanted to try.

I have been a fan of this restaurant for 15 years, and the quality has always been consistently excellent. The photo I shared shows that I didn't leave anything on my plate not because I couldn't finish my meal, but because I wanted to save some for tomorrow - it's just that good.

While in Florida for the 4th of July week, my family and I were up early at 3:30 to catch a flight. The three guys hadn't eaten yet, so I was worried they would be hungry on the plane, especially the three-year-old. After landing in Tampa and heading to our Clearwater resort, I heard the kids complaining about being hungry. I spotted a non-franchise restaurant nearby and took them in to eat so they wouldn't go hungry. Parking was plentiful and restrooms were easily accessible. Since it was early, they were serving breakfast. We ordered French toast, chicken fried steak and eggs, eggs for the kids, a breakfast skillet, and a burger for my oldest. The food had a traditional breakfast taste similar to Luby's or Village Inn. Our server was friendly, and the portions were large and delicious. The total bill was $53 including tip, making it a good first meal in Florida.

Lunch break when working in Clearwater. The food was good, but nothing excellent. Good for a quick stop, but I wish the place did not use American singles instead of cheddar. It was clean and the service was attentive. Great fillings.

Awesome place, huge food variety ..super clean, great ownership and management and service ..food is great! Best waffle! Staff is amazing... Updated: would eat here everyday if I could! Pricing is cheap compared to other places! My goal is to try everything on the menu at least once lol...server Miranda is best and probly deserves raise(sorry Steve lol) for her healthy food advice and options she gives!(wheat toast w gravy) Overall this place is a 99 on a scale of 1-10!
