Frenchy's South Beach Cafe - Clearwater

The food was excellent, and the atmosphere by the beach was beautiful. Our server, Dillon, was very attentive.

The food at this restaurant was delicious and the service was good. I ordered Kajun groupers with potatoes and coleslaw, as well as a cup of crab soup, and they were all excellent. My husband had seafood pasta in cream sauce, which was also very good. Our waitress, Jules, was attentive and made sure our drinks were always refilled without us having to ask. Unfortunately, I have a peanut allergy and when I called ahead to inquire about peanut oil, I was told there was none used. However, my husband noticed that they had baked PBJ sandwiches on the children's menu, which raised concerns. When Jules checked, it was confirmed that the sandwiches were fried in the same oil as the French fries, which could have been dangerous for me. The management should have been more careful in disclosing this information. Overall, the experience was good, but losing a star due to the lack of transparency regarding the peanut oil issue. It's worth noting that Crabbys next door also has good food, but the service is very poor.

As a regular visitor to the original café, this location offers a wide variety of refreshing items. I enjoy the atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It would be great to see this café expand to other locations for a different ambiance.

Delicious! Great location, service and price. We especially enjoyed the alligator, grouper sandwich, and shrimp tacos. Will definitely be back.

Great service (Caleb was our server), delicious food, and nice atmosphere near the beach. We had the conch fritters, snow crab garlic fries, grouper nugget basket, coconut shrimp platter, lobster mac n cheese, and the grouper tacos. For drinks we had the Pina colada, strawberry daiquiri, rum runner, and the dirty banana. Tip for any big drinkers the frozen version of the rum runner has more alcohol ;
