Fabulous position on the coast if you are using it as a base. Quiet site, with small restaurant, bar and entertainment etc so not the one most families with young ones would choose IMO. We loved it as it had all we needed to explore the area and enjoy the beach
Fantastic little getaway, only 15 min drive into Bridlington, so handy location. Gorgeous views and lovely walks around the area. Our caravan was the smallest we have had over the years but it still had everything we needed and didn't feel too small once inside. We went in October so nice and quiet, not much on for kids but the staff were fantastic and did still do activities which was nice and enjoyed by the little ones. Music bingo was enjoyed by all. Soft play for 8yrs and below was small but clean. Overall a lovely little place to stay and would go again
Reception was good. Caravan was clean and well equipped. Seating was very uncomfortable though and it was no good for relaxing on. Ordering from table via app was quicker and easy. Food menu was limited, poorly presented and definitely not value for money. Most staff were inexperienced and unwelcoming in the bar and food areas. Tables were not cleaned properly and in general unhygienic, with flies everywhere. Site appeared to have too many caravans crowded together, although grass was kept neat. Discharge water from restaurant kitchen was running across road all week, and should have been dealt with.
The location, beach and quietness overall was quite pleasant, The caravan was clean and spacious, except for the two rooms beside the main bedroom, but then, those rooms are for kids and there is a pull out sofa bed, so it is to be expected. The bar and entertainment was ok, slightly on the pricey side, but not taking the Micky as they say. It was nice to have a convenience store on site, it has friendly staff and quite a variety of goods for a small store. On the weekend, some people can get loud and carried away with drink outside at late hours, but hey, it's to he expected at most parks. There is an information hub on site, which appears mostly attended if you need assistance, also fliers of various activities. The kids entertainment seemed stimulating for the kids and the later entertainment to be fair, was pretty good, complete with bingo also. In summary, it's an ok place to stay as a place to relax in the evening and bed down. Our only points I hope park Dean takes on board, is it would be nice to receive a basic welcome package and have basic essentials like loo roll, tea/coffee, a towel etc, as has been experienced gladly in the past on other parks. I believe a little extra goes a long way and helps people feel comfortable and welcomed in their new temporary home.
