Agalyne - Clermont-Ferrand

I hope this doesn 't sound pretentious but I 've eaten in many fine restaurants in many different countries. Moreover I 'm a nutritionist and a bona fide foodie not to mention a pretty decent cook myself ... well, let me tell you, this meal at Agalyne was one of the best I 've had in my entire life. Like, top 25 for sure. My family ordered three meals in total, and they were all wonderful. Don 't remember the exact menu details, but they were a veal dish, a steak dish, and a shrimp/pasta dish. All wonderful. The veal was actually sweetbreads, served with a sort of tower of vegetables to be perfectly honest I 'm not sure what all was in there (my French vocab is pretty basic , but it was a veritable pleasure cruise of fantastic flavors! The steak dish was second best, and the shrimp third, IMO. But all fantastic. Moreover the service (from the owner herself was perfect. We felt so welcomed and appreciated, even though we were American tourists who spoke terrible French (but at least we tried! . GO HERE. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent food, service and wine list. It was quiet when we visited (due to Covid) but this did not affect the service or the quality of the food. The proprietor was attentive without being oppressive, the menu consisted of daily specials, which we actually found difficult to choose from as they all sounded great. Please support this restaurant, you won’t regret it!

Already come a year ago, what evolution in dishes and taste! a poultry cooked to perfection, a 999 light sheet but so greedy, I always want to thank you for this moment and very quickly

Ambiance sympathique et excellent repas : Bouillabaisse de Rougets Barbet, compote de fenouil et oignons accompagnée d’une rouille de piment d’Espelette: délicieuse et tellement originale avec plein de saveurs Et en dessert Pannacotta vanille , compotée de cerises griottes au romarin Adresse à visiter absolument

Tout était très bien dans ce restaurant. La cuisine était savoureuse, à la fois délicate et gourmande. L'accueil était chaleureux, nous avons reçu un excellente conseil pour le vin en particulier. Le cadre est aussi très sympa. On respirait, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas dans les restaus en ville où les tables sont tassées. On recommande le lieu, c'est top.
