West Side Market Café - Cleveland

Great food , very good service, definitely recommend it if you on Cleveland area.

Honestly, I LOVE a greasy spoon diner, and what a great location at the West Side Market. However, other than the great service, this place has really gone downhill. Absolutely filthy, and the restrooms were disgusting. Walked in, walked right back out. It was a Wednesday, not all that busy, so it 's not like there was a mad rush on the restrooms. Food was just ok. The Lake Erie walleye seemed to be frozen, and the eggs and potatoes were cooked as you 'd expect. The table and floors were sticky, and again, I love diners, so the expectation was not fine dining. Lastly, it 's worth reiterating that, unlike some reviews, our server was great, attentive, and friendly. I really wanted to love it....

An old fashioned diner. Food was excellent, service was engaging and fun. Atmosphere well, it depends on what you're looking for.

We had so much fun wandering around. We also got some pastries and went to the upper level to people watch. It is beautiful and very busy. Must see for visitors.

I ordered biscuits and gravy. The gravy seemed to be a water grease mixture lacking use of milk or flour starch.
