Most of the staff were friendly and efficient, with the exception of one employee who was impatient, inattentive, and rude. It may be beneficial for this particular staff member to receive additional training in customer service.
I frequently visit the one-stop cafe for breakfast with my dad. So far, I have tried the pancakes which were fluffy and delicious, served with a generous amount of homemade ice-cream and maple syrup on the side. It was very filling and could easily be a meal for two. I would rate it 9/10. The French toast had amazing flavors and was served with a variety of side options such as maple syrup, ice-cream, and cream. The bacon and egg roll had a good amount of sauce and smoky bacon, and you could choose how you wanted your egg cooked. There was also an option to toast the roll and add extras like cheese. The ham and cheese croissant was tasty with fresh, warm croissants, smoked ham, and melted delicious cheese. The coffee was exceptional, flavorful, creamy, and never burnt. The staff provided excellent service with a smile, and the atmosphere was great with beautiful decorations. On my birthday, they added a special touch by writing "Happy Birthday" on my plate with BBQ sauce and singing to me, as well as creating a beautiful art design on my coffee. I visit the one-stop cafe once a week or once every fortnight and plan on continuing to do so for a long time.
The restaurant offers a good selection of freshly squeezed juices and a wide range of drinks in the fridges. The coffees were also excellent. During our second visit, I decided to try the bacon and eggs on Turkish bread with a hash brown, and it was excellent. My soft poached eggs were perfectly cooked, and there was plenty of bacon alongside a hot and crispy hash brown. We found the young waitstaff to be terrific, providing good service and accommodating us staying for a while.
Just a quick coffee and Chai stop. Nice feel, good menu selections and the coffee (not too milky) and tea were as expected and hit the spot. Clean tables, effective and courteous service all worked. Counter ordering in a cafe with outdoor seating isn't my ideal set up but a small minus on a positive experience. We will be back.
Service in the Redlands area is typically lacking however after two visits to this quaint cafe I can confidently say that the service here is both plea sent and consistent. Both servers and waitresses were friendly and had a brief chat and joke but were still professional. The food was ok nothing special but nothing to dislike either. This cafe has an excellent selection of gluten free and vegan foods which are beautifully presented and actually stored/ handled to be suitable for coeliac customers however still providing the typical menu items for the masses. Worth a visit especially if you are looking for GF !
