Macdara's Bar And Restaurant - Clifden

My partner and l eat at this lovely Bar Restaurant this evening and we ordered the traditional Fish Chips. We have eat in many restaurants around Ireland and l have to say the fish chips was by far the best we have tasted to date . The fish was amazingly fresh with a tasty batter while the side salad was simply divine. Friendly staff too. Congratulations guys and best of luck for the year ahead. Sharon Ken.

Absolutely amazing night had at macdaras for a birthday,fantastic staff and wonderful food with love live background music that just adds to an already relaxing atmosphere,I have been several times now and look forward to returning again very shortly,the food is jus fab and this is a badly needed addition to clifden,very reasonably priced but absolutely delicious food from starter to dessert!!! More than 5* is deserved here,Donal is beyond accommodating and welcoming making macdaras a joy to be in. All involved are doing fantastic,if u have any sense at all this will be your fist port of call in clifden,you will not be disappointed

Great bar and restaurant with a terrace to eat outside overlooking Clifden harbour, a gem of a place! I had the super salad and it was divine!

Truly one of THE BEST Irish Pub/Restaurant's not only in Ireland but IN THE WORLD!! Visited for the first time last week and the food was outstanding! Best chowder we've ever had. Entrees are out of this world. Beautiful views on the back deck overlooking the bay. Great service, wonderful music. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful meal, fantastic view, incredible music, and a pint (or three)!! MZ
