The unique outdoor seating is very interesting. It consists of individually heated enclosed huts. On the night we dined, the temperature was in the 40's and we were able to dine without wearing jackets. The heater was excellent and provided a cozy dining experience. We began with appetizers of onion soup, pasta fagoli, seared scallops and chilean sea bass. All were very good. For entrees we selected the veal madeira, veal sorrentiono and chicken giambotta. All came with sides of vegetables and roasted potatoes. Portions were not overly large but satisfying and prices were moderate. Desserts were an apple crisp with ice cream, creme brulee, and brownie sundaes with a chocolate liqueur. All were very good. Waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating. Milano was a good choice for a cozy Italian dinner.
Have a lot of mixed feelings about this place. Let's start with the positives 1. Start off your meal with a delicious free appetizer of bruschetta (arguably the best dish of the night 2. The manager was superb and hilarious 3. We enjoyed our meal in this cute outdoor cabin with Christmas lights and it was very private and cozy 4. Chicken parm and calamari was the second two best dishes. They were good nothing special exactly what is expected from an Italian restaurant 5. The garlic shrimp sauce is FABULOUS but you only get 5 shrimps Negatives 1. Shrimp scampi had 0 flavor. Was bland and definitely needed more salt not to mention SAUCE. It felt like we were eating plain boiled noodles with a few shrimp on top 2. Our server was very sassy to us and not at all welcoming 3. The bucatini is not regular at bucatini (the noodles don't have holes in them? . Tastes like spaghetti Overall, some of us had a good time with average food while others had a very subpar experience with below average food. Price is ok but probably wont be back.
Hosted an afternoon baby shower at Milano's. The manager Tony was extremely responsive, accommodating and willing to cater to our needs and budget. No issues with bringing in outside decor or cake. They opened the restaurant early for our party and we had the place to ourselves which was great. The back room is a nice size for a party of 20 very cozy with a nice working fireplace. The food overall is decent some choices are better than others. Fried calamari is very good. Buffalo cauliflower had too much sauce/too much vinegar. Caesar salad was a little bland. Chicken francese, penne vodka and salmon were all solid everyone seemed to like those dishes. The kids meal a hamburger w/ fries was burnt/overcooked and thus the kids did not eat it. Overall its a cozy, neighborhood spot seems popular with locals. Nice for a casual lunch or dinner. They have live music Thursday/Fridays and outdoor igloos seating.
We are visiting from out of town and let me tell you, this place far exceeded expectations! The Fettuccine Alfredo was the best I’ve ever had. The wait staff was pleasant, attentive and professional. The live music makes you want to dance as well! Great place for big parties (we had 10)
Amazing, amazing vibes. Feels like you're visiting someone over for dinner; feels very personal. The staff is attentive and amazing (they also accommodated a large party very last second). The food is out of the world. I had the salmon and it was great. Also, had live music which just contributed to the atmosphere as people were getting up and slow dancing. Love, love, love.
