Monterrey Mexican - Clive

This restaurant is quite decent. I didn't have to wait even during the busiest time on Taco Tuesday. I placed my order right away and the food was the highlight of the experience. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly great either. I had the fajitas with steak, chicken, and shrimp. The salsa could use some improvement, but it was acceptable.

Monterrey is certainly one of our top picks for Mexican cuisine. Their Chili Colorado is the best I've ever tasted. The other dishes are great as well. The service is outstanding, and the prices are very affordable. - Bob.

The bar feels cramped, as though there’s no room for storage. If you order the large 48-ounce drink, make sure to have your Uber driver on standby. The food was unexpectedly good; definitely try the grilled jalapeños with onions. However, I’m not sure it’s worth a second visit.

One of the best if not the best Mexican in Des Moines. Even if it's not the best, it's my favorite. I've been going to eat this place for years, take out, and no matter what on the menu, it's all delicious. Fast service, good prices, good salsa, Guac and Fajitas... what could you want more?!

Best Mexican in Des Moines. Full stop. I go here so often the staff know my order. It's really that good. My favorite dish is either the fajitas or the enchiladas Blanca's. 10/10.
