Mulcahys - Clonmel

I’m not an adventurous eater, but I do love fish and chips! I made it my mission to eat fish and chips across Ireland in a recent 2 weeks visit. I had fish and chips 7 times! And Mulcahy’s in Clonmel was by far the best prepared by Aysa (my sincere apologies if I have her name wrong). The staff went above and beyond in their service and the food was hot and yummy! The best fish and chips!

We had dinner and drinks here last night with friends. Food was delicious and staff were super helpful and friendly. We will definitely be making a return visit.

This is a fabulous central location to stay. It’s extremely well run and is spotlessly clean. Fabulous bar and restaurant area. Food is excellent. Bedroom was immaculate and comfortable. There is no lift in this building. Access to the accommodation area is by using your electronic key card,and is a separate entrance located beside the bar/restaurant door on the Main Street.

Disappointing meal. Ordered vegan pizza which arrived burnt and raw; and was missing stated ingredients i.e. tofu. Waiting staff wasn't interested in my complaint poor customer care.

The carvery lunch in Mulcahys is lovely. One of the best places to eat in Clonmel. Being a vegetarian they always have a good option. I recommend the vegetarian lasagne. The veg is always flavoursome.
