Riverside China House - Clonmel

I am a college student and I really enjoyed the affordable meal choices at this restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and the service was outstanding. The only downside is that they do not offer dine-in service due to COVID restrictions, which is disappointing. However, I would still give this restaurant a perfect score of 10/10 and strongly recommend it!

This takeaway has excellent Covid-19 safety measures in place, no one is allowed in, they will transact with you at the door and no crowd builds up as everyone is directed to go back to their car and wait and delivery will be brought to you. Definitely worth a try and the quality of the food has not been impacted either, still delicious.

The Munchie Box represents fantastic value at just €19 and includes two drinks but would easily feed 4 people or even 5 and no one will be left hungry. Honey Chilli Shredded chicken is one for people who like a bit of spice but nothing too over-powering. A really tasty dish. What is great is that they are always updating their menu and adding new dishes to try so you always have great variety to choose from. An excellent and lovely touch by the people at Riverside China House is that they value repeat custom and recognise it by including different freebies as a thank you be it an extra portion of something, free bottles/cans of fizzy drink or wine at Christmas. It really is a lovely touch and something that is not seen in too many places any more.

The taste and flavour are still there. It is still an excellent Chinese takeaway however, last couple of time we were there we found some of the sauces are getting very runny. It takes from the enjoyment of the dish. Not a good sign. Hope this improves soon or will have to look elsewhere. Would not like to see this place slip because it has been so good and reliable for such a long time.
