Capitoliu Bistro & Restaurant

Discovered the plce recently and we were pleasantly surprised. Delicious food, lovely place, cozy, owners are really nice and helpful. Loved the atmosphere and there's also a play area for kids.

This is a nice, hotel located restaurant that offers an interesting blend of local and international dishes, soups and desserts as well as alcoholic beverages of all sorts. The chef is passionate about his work and is fun to talk to. Not all dishes though are equal - some are excellent, some are so-so. Generally meat and beef dishes are the best as are the desserts. The soups I tried were mediocre. All in all a nice place to have dinner.

The restaurant is not so visible from the street as it is located in the premises of an old looking Inn (Fulton), accessible from the courtyard (see also my review of the Fulton Inn).As the place is also popular with the families with kids, at times tends to be a little noisy, but don't let this put you off.The food is very tasty, Romanian food with a contemporary approach. The staff is attentive to requests and surprisingly, are even able to recommend dishes. This is contrary to other places, where you ask the waiter to recommend something and they answer back with another question, or with a bland comment, whatever you like.I laso liked that the menu contains few pages and thus the decision of choosing something is not an arduous one.So, do come here for lunch, brunch or dinner, and if you have kids its even better, as they have a small playground on the premises.

An excellent place, family friendly, with a generous indoor playground for kids! The food is great, good coffee and good music and services.
