Gonzalez Mexican - Coalgate

Excellent salsa and chips. Food is always hot and tasty. Have fun.

I live in Texas, but I bought retirement north of Coalgate about a year ago. In my departures from Texas to the country, I have seen this restaurant since the first time I drove Coalgate to the country, but had never stopped trying to taste their food until a few more than 2 months ago. I've eaten there ever since. I was really surprised by the quality of food there. The food is really good, the waiting staff is GREAT, the prices are reasonable and the restaurant is clean with a very pleasant atmosphere. I and my family will enjoy many meals there in the future. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a good tex-mex meal and friendly service.

Stopped here on our way to Durant, food was really good and everyone was very nice. If you are ever in the area I would highly recommend this restaurant.
