A few kilometers before the city border and yet known to every Coburger. The Black Bear, as it is called by the language, is an institution. Countless solo entertainers, countless bands, countless celebrations in the hall also this is the bear. However, it would be too little because the bear also has a gastronomy. A good-bourgeois restaurant with normal prices (for our Coburg region, normal menu (fresh apartment and audience from all layers of life). Meeting point, restaurant. All this and much more is the bear. Parking is available directly on the farm or around the restaurant. Parking is only difficult when an event takes place, because the restaurant is located directly on a busy federal road. But the guest doesn't notice anything about it. Although there is also a beer garden in summer, it has not earned the name according to Bavarian principles, the forecourt, which serves as a parking lot in winter, is then equipped with some seats. The restaurant is accessible, which also applies to the toilets. Currently I haven't visited them, but I can say from the past that they are clean, but not the latest. In the restaurant itself, the guest receives a darkly trimmed gastronomy, individually divided tables that offer privacy. Rarely worth this today, but otherwise it would be better to press another table in the room for maximum profit instead of giving the guest free space for discussions. The map is typical Franconian, with attacks from international discipline. But the typical guest will rather rely on the local food in the Landscap. We are usually on site on Thursday, on this day there is another discount on the already cheap menu: Schnitzeltag. 7 8 carvings, freely selectable supplements, a fresh(! Salad plate and good meat quality. The sauces by hand, the portions sown well. And a taste as it belongs to a carving. Crispy, juicy inside, very well seasoned. And the whole for slim 6,90 €. Also the beans are highly recommended, here the acidic frying is particularly pronounced. Close to 10 €, very good sauce, fresh palate and again the salad, which is freshly prepared and not waiting for hours on cooling. My conclusion: Go away, taste local food and let yourself be convinced. Cult(ur does not exclude the pleasure for the broad mass.
