Waiting 30 minutes for a starter and a further 20 minutes for a main course at a quiet lunchtime didn't add to the experience.
Had a lovely time here. Staff were very helpful and friendly. My partners son is autistic and it was his first time ina restaurant, could not of had better staff. They welcomed him sooo much. We could not of wished for a better night
My partner and I have travelled from Liverpool for a weekend in the Lakes. We stopped here in Cockermouth on our way through having booked a table with yourselves through OpenTable. I even confirmed yesterday when contacted by OpenTable. We arrived this evening, closed…..? My contact details were provided, I’ve not been contacted, and there was no explanation offered. After traipsing round Cockermouth I’ve finally found somewhere to eat, and told that you are now closed by another restaurant manager. To not have the decency to contact a customer to say you are closed is appalling. It would take 30seconds of your time and cost literally nothing. If a customer just chose not to turn up you would be slating them.
Excellent food in a very pleasant atmosphere Staff very helpful.
We had burgers which were really tasty but one was meant to be gluten free. Unfortunately they mixed up the top and bottom of the buns meaning neither was presented properly. Staff did apologise but no discount on bill was offered.
