Sammy's Trattoria - Cockeysville

I decided to stop by Sammy's II for an impromptu dinner, and as always, both the service and food were excellent. Our server even recognized my wife from our visits to the original Sammy's. The Tagliatelle Bolognese was delicious and filling, while the duck ravioli was just as amazing as I remembered. Overall, fantastic service, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The Italian food here is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. The salads are fresh and outstanding. We've visited several times and truly appreciate the lively atmosphere and friendly service. The Julia salad is consistently excellent, and my new favorite (as shown in the picture) is the Crab Toast. It consists of three small crab imperials on sliced Italian bread and is absolutely delicious. At just $15, it's a great deal, especially in a time when crab cakes are often priced at $25!

I'm not usually fussy about food, but this meal was disappointing. The pasta was mediocre and not worth the price. My husband ordered the shrimp pasta, and for $27, it came in a bowl that was only half full, with just three small shrimp on top. We were really let down. However, the waitstaff was fantastic—very kind and professional!
