We ordered the 1/2 bag breakfast (two eggs, bacon strip, sausage, hash browns, huge pancake, toast and more. It was all very good. The second item was the patty melt with onion rings, all was excellent. I had a corned beef hash and cheese omelette with toast and baked beans, that too was very good. All portions were large and filling. Great place. We'll return and recommend.
I love every flippin' thing about this place! First, I appreciate that they use real ingredients (especially real butter, which is a rarity in local breakfast places . I also love that it's woman-owned and women-run (that they're all a family is a bonus! . And, the cast of daily regulars is a friendly, welcoming bunch. The quiche is definitely the best choice, but that's just my preference and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The only way this place could be better is if they added mimosas to the menu
We decided on this place for breakfast after reading all of the great reviews. The service was good, fast and our servers were very pleasant. The food was not good at all. My sister and I both got omelettes and the ham in them had very large chunks fat, the Inside was wet and some of the ingredients (mushrooms) very obviously came from a can. The shredded hash browns were both very wet and also crunchy in the middle from being undercooked. The pricing was very reasonable and overall service was good but the food left lots to be desired.
Recently visited the Bagg Lunch and found it to be a pleasant experience overall. The hostess greeted us warmly, and the waitress provided attentive service throughout our meal. While locals may rate it higher, as a traveler, I would suggest a rating around 4.1-4.2. The food, reminiscent of classic diner fare, was decent. My brother ordered the Full Bagg Breakfast, and I chose the 1/2 Bagg, with a request for a substitution of pancakes for French toast, which did result in an unexpected additional charge of six dollars. It's worth noting that prices here are slightly higher compared to similar establishments in the area, possibly due to limited seating and increased operational expenses. While I may not personally return, I understand the appeal for locals who appreciate the nostalgic atmosphere. Update: Thank you for the response, unfortunately there was a separate charge for french toast in addition to the charge for coffee, probably due to an error, which I should have brought to your attention at the time.
So I'm a French Toast Snob and the Bagg Lunch hit it out of the park! A must try. Thank you for the amazing breakfast. From an Eversource field worker.
