Amalfi - Coffs Harbour

The restaurant was warm and inviting with fantastic food and wine. The waitress was friendly and took the time to discuss her favorite wines and wineries with us. The prices were reasonable and overall, it's a great place to dine without any doubts.

This restaurant used to be our go-to spot on our way to Queensland, but we will never be returning. The service and food were both terrible. We waited a long time to be acknowledged, receive a menu (which we had to get from another customer), place our order, and finally get our food. The quality of the food was mediocre at best, and to make matters worse, my husband got food poisoning. They only accepted cash payments, but this was not clearly stated anywhere. They also mixed up our bill with another table's. Overall, it was chaotic, disorganized, and the service was lacking. We also noticed several customers receiving incorrect takeaway orders. It seems like they do not care about providing good service, as they rely on passing travelers for business. We will not be returning to this restaurant. Additionally, they did not follow the COVID check-in rules - no one was asked if they had checked in, and there was no effort to ensure compliance. Very disappointing.

Been there twice time was awesome- they even made me a meal not on the menu tonight was less than impressive flavourless pizza and wrong sauce on pasta CASH ONLY REALLY !! Especially in times of COVID dodgy...!

There is no eftpos at this place so he made me go to the ATM. I ordered a large pizza for takeaway, it was soggy and wet and hangout out of the box. It wasn’t cooked properly and TOO MUCH SAUCE!!! Made so...much mess. It wasn’t cut properly either, all different shapes and sizes.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner, prior to going out for the night. We found the wait staff were attentive and the food was great. I had the Pizza Special and my wife had the garlic prawns. We also ordered the garlic bread...with cheese. The meal was brought out within mins. It was well presented and tasted great. It's a BYO restaurant so I bought a bottle of red wine from the bottle shop across the street. Approx meters away. We loved it and we'll be back. You can book which is recommend over the holiday period or take pot luck on a table. Take cash as there is no eftpos.
