Celeiro - Coimbra

Its a nice shop where you can buy vegan, vegetarian products and of course bio products.

When in Coimbra, it is hard to find places where you can buy vegan products, like tofu or seitan. Celeiro is the place to go for these products, as it is actually cheaper than in the supermarkets and has a greater variety. Also, it is a place where you can buy natural cosmetics, health products (namely for people intolerant to gluten or nuts) and organic vegetables. The shops also have a cafe which serves meals. The cafe service is impeccable, as it has great coffee, and serves soy lattes, vegan toasts and other treats. The meals, though, are usually expensive and of low quality. One option, which I use frequently, is to eat just a soup and some snacks, like croquettes or pies.

Was there in June 2012. The store is situated in the large shopping centre Dolce Vita it is in the lowest floor. A very nice store with a large well equiped product line you will find whatever you need there. They also have vegetarian and vegan meals in the coolish, and there is a very small cafe inside the store, where they serve coffee together with several small vegan/vegetarian food servings, including cakes. The staff is very friendly, and they speak English.
