Pastelaria Arcoiris - Coimbra

They seemed a bit hesitant to take my order but once I communicated all was good. Favorite of locals and right across the street from my hotel.

I couldn't say enough good things about this place. The pastries are very good, the only down side is probably that i ate way too much since everything was so good.

Great pastry shop, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack. Big selection of cakes, pastries and bread and all looked fantastic. Some real regional specialities as well. Always busy but service was very helpful, even for those of us who struggled with the pronunciation of the names! Try the fresh juices as well!

This busy pastelaria is located around the corner from my hotel. In the morning I would stop by (after 9am as it was too busy prior) for my morning cup of coffee. In the evening, about an hour before they would close, I would return to sample one of their delicious bakery items my favorite was a canela/cinnamon twist. The coffee was always strong and the bakery items always fresh. The owner/manager is a nice guy as he started to recognize me from my daily visits. The hard working staff is very efficient and friendly.
