Mersea Island Fish - Colchester

I have dined at this restaurant before and it was very good. However, my experience last night was disappointing. I ordered 4 fish and chips, cooked to order, so I expected them to be good. The fish was average cod, not the good haddock I had hoped for, and the chips were the worst I have ever had.

We recently stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch snack, but it was not a great experience. We believe the chips we were served were leftover from the night before and re-cooked. We will not be returning for a second visit. After picking out the bad chips, we were left with overcooked, crispy remnants.

The wait time can be up to an hour. The restaurant needs to get their act together!
