The Artilleryman Pub - Colchester

This fantastic neighborhood pub has Sky Sports and is extremely welcoming. The beer is great, the food is delicious and served quickly, and the Sunday roasts are outstanding.

The roast dinner at this restaurant is fantastic. The roast potatoes are crispy, the vegetables are delicious, and I was surprised to find myself enjoying the cabbage, which I haven't eaten in years. It's definitely my new favorite dish.

Came in for a few pints and a couple games of pool after work with my Dad and mate, great service and good beer.

Good food, friendly staff, excellent bar(good draught IPA), difficult parking better to walk there, nice atmosphere traditional pub decor. Back garden is great in good weather. Sunday lunch is a traditional roast with choice of chicken, pork, lamb shank or beef. Served with roast potatoes,...carrots, peas, cabbage, cauliflower, Yorkshire pud and mash. The food is well cooked and presented and at is excellent value. Servings are large and we were not able to fit in a dessert.
