Cafe 55 Bistro - Coleraine

I went downstairs to book a table at this restaurant, and the food was excellent with a good price. I went back the next day, but they only had pizza and chips, so it was a bit disappointing. Despite this, I would still recommend this place.

We recently held our wedding reception at 55 Degrees North on April 1st and we highly recommend it. Our wedding was planned in just 6 weeks due to a family emergency, and the staff went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Manager Nicky and Stephen were fantastic and helped organize everything flawlessly. About 80% of our guests traveled from out of town and were impressed by the venue, food, service, and staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend 55 Degrees North for any special event - we loved it all. Thank you!

The restaurant had great potential, but the food was not as impressive. We opted for the early bird menu and started with the gluten-free garlic bread, which was heavy and saturated with fat. The spring rolls were lovely, but the boiled vegetables were cold. The main dishes were better, but the chili chicken was too spicy. The rice was fragrant and beautiful, and the sea bass was cooked perfectly. Despite the food, the views were amazing and we would consider returning for that alone. The service was mixed - our waitress Dominica was excellent, but some of the younger staff seemed unengaged. The man at the door was not very friendly. Overall, I would prefer to pay more for better quality food.

Was a very good place to eat out of. The food came out in a reasonable time and was worth going in for. The staff are more than helpful. Has a very nice back drop out onto the sea.
