Gareth's Takeaway - Coleraine

Gareth's was clean and tidy, but I had to repeat my order multiple times over the phone. When I asked a question, the lady didn't know the answer. The portions were a bit small for the price. After collecting our order, we realized that some burgers were missing. By the time they were brought out, the rest of our food was cold.

I wish I had read the reviews before visiting!! Ordered a Fish Supper and Onion Rings £16! Waited around 20 minutes for it and granted they seemed very busy. Was it worth the wait? NO.... Ive given a 2 rating because the fish was ok, not great quality fish but a reasonable size although not that warm the Onions rings were greasy to the point of being inedible! The chips were stone cold and hard as rocks!! They went in the bin along with the onion rings AVOID!! My first ever visit and I will never be back dont make the same mistake!

I never usually write reviews but this was just not it. Me and my friend were a bit hungry so we decided to dine in Gareth 's. Immediately we go in and a man takes our orders and everything is fine. We take our seats and wait for a bit. About 10 minutes later my order is ready, it was a simple kids meal since the other protions are too big for me. I tell my friend to ask for salt and ketchup when her 's is ready since I 'd realised it had no salt. They call her order and she goes to pick it up. I overhear her asking for salt and the woman with quite serious attitude says it 's already salted. We aren 't surprised since we 've been here a couple of times and know that their customer service isn 't good. There was a couple sitting Infront of us that had just received they 're order and the man had gone to ask for salt. The man walks past with around 3 packets of salt in his hand. Not to mention the service was way nicer to them than they were to us even though we hadn 't done anything. Food was greasy and tasteless. Better to go get a frozen meal from the spar beside than waste your money on this.

I was passing through Portstewart yesterday and I happened to see this place. First of all the warning signs were there, a gentlemen coming back in with his order. Secondly whilst ordering the young fella behind the til had a very bad attitude taking the order, needs a lesson on customer service! Thirdly the chicken burger was very bad more like battered chicken crumbs, very small portion of chips albeit for £8.55. In my opinion one of the worst chippies I have been to. Would recommend avoiding this place.
