The Rock And Grill - Coleraine

Chicken stack, requested sauce on side, arrived with food covered in sauce. No side of veg, chose salt chilli chips onion rings. Plain chips arrived, no onion rings so had to request our sides again. Bizarre glass of Guinness, poorly presented, luke warm and didn’t fill the pint glass. Three lovely girls trying their best to seat customers, take orders, serve food and take payment. Card machine out of order and rolled up notification explaining this was found behind the bar! No fault of these lovely girls who were doing their best but needed direction.

We are locals and regulars at the rock bar and grill the food is first class the service is first class and all the girls are very helpful and pleasant we were in yesterday Easter Sunday and again the service was exceptional

Book a table for today Easter Sunday for 4pm. On arrive table not ready and was asked 2 wait in the bar. At 4.15pm we went into the restaurant asking about our table to be told they thought we went home and had give it 2 someone else. We had booked for the carvery which was not there and no explanation given as to why. Service was not great and things very slow. It took 1.5 hr for 1 main course dinner from start 2 Finnish. With 2 hungry kids it makes it hard work. As we have a caravan in castlerock we have always enjoyed eating here but with the change of menu and offers provided and lack of staff I will be reconsidering in future.

Great food, perfect portion sizes and friendly service. Recommend the salt and chilli chicken Caesar salad
