Carpenters Canteen Coffee Shop

We made the mistake of ordering our sandwiches and cake at the same time, and we really struggled to finish the cake because the sandwiches were so hearty! There are plenty of seating options both indoors and outdoors, and it’s quite popular with walkers and dog owners. The café is open from 10 AM to 4 PM, but lunchtime can get quite busy (we visited on a Tuesday afternoon!). If you happen to be nearby, I highly recommend stopping by.

The staff was fantastic. I enjoyed almond cake and lemon cake along with tea and coffee, and I also had brie with cranberry jam. Everything was amazing and delicious!

I was truly impressed! The location was wonderfully quiet, the food was amazing, the coffee was excellent, and the service was beautiful, all at great prices. This will definitely become a regular spot for us—simply fantastic!

Very nice cafe right on footpath. Good staff and doorstep sarnies very good with crisps an side salad included. Flat white coffee very good but if sitting outside in courtyard at this time of year, would recommend getting takeaway cup as china crockery cools too fast. Will definitely go there again. Open until 4pm currently.
